Your vote counts! Don't stand by and let others make decisions for you, become part of the process. If the amendment is ratified again by the General Assembly, it will be a ballot question for Hoosier voters in 2008.

  • Oct. 7, 2008: Deadline to register for the 2008 election
  • Nov. 4, 2008: Election Day (Polls are open from 6am - 6pm)

How Do I Register?

It's easy, important, and only takes a few minutes. Download one of the forms listed below, fill in the requested information, sign it, and send it to your county's election office.

If you previously registered to vote you do not need to re-register. However, if you have moved or changed your name since the last election, you'll need to update your registration. You can update your information with the county clerk using one of the registration forms below.

Finding Your Polling Place

You can now also look up your voter registration status and polling place online using the Statewide Voter Registration System.

Photo ID Required

In 2005, Indiana legislators passed what is now Public Law 109, which requires anyone wishing to vote to provide a photo ID in order to cast a ballot. Learn all about the Voter ID law from the Secretary of State. Generally speaking, your Indiana driver's license will suffice; PL 109 does allow you to get a state ID card free of charge when you show the necessary documentation at any BMV branch.
